Online therapy is conducted through a secure, HIPAA-compliant video platform called SimplePractice, making it easy and convenient to attend sessions from the comfort of your own home.
Once you schedule an appointment, you’ll receive a confirmation email with a private link to your session. At the time of your appointment, simply click the link to join the video session—no downloads or technical setup required. All sessions are fully confidential and protected to ensure your privacy.
If you are attending as a couple, both partners can join the session from different locations using the same secure link, allowing flexibility and ease no matter where each person is located.
You’ll just need a reliable internet connection, a quiet and private space, and a phone, tablet, or computer with a camera and microphone. Sessions are the same length and format as in-person therapy, allowing us to connect, process, and work together in a safe and supportive environment—just virtually.
If you’re new to online therapy, I’ll guide you through the process so you feel comfortable and confident getting started.

A Good Faith Estimate (GFE) is a document that outlines the expected cost of your therapy services before you begin. It helps you understand what you may be charged so there are no surprises.
Under the No Surprises Act, clients who are paying out-of-pocket (not using insurance) have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate. This estimate includes the cost per session and the anticipated total cost of services based on your treatment needs at the time.
You will receive a Good Faith Estimate before your first session, and you can request one at any time. Please note that it is an estimate, so actual costs may change if your treatment plan evolves.

Your first appointment is a chance for us to get to know each other and begin understanding what brings you to therapy. We’ll talk about your current concerns, your goals, and any relevant background—such as your personal history, relationships, or patterns you’ve been experiencing.
You’re welcome to share at your own pace; there’s no pressure to go into everything right away. I may ask questions to better understand your situation and help identify how we can work together most effectively.
We’ll also discuss what you’re hoping to get out of therapy and begin outlining a plan tailored to your needs. By the end of the session, you should have a clearer sense of the process and whether it feels like a good fit for you.
For couples, the first session may include hearing from both partners about their perspectives and goals, so we can begin to understand the dynamic and how best to support the relationship.

The length of therapy varies for each person or couple and depends on your goals, needs, and the challenges you’re working through. Some clients come for a short period to address a specific issue, while others choose longer-term therapy to explore deeper patterns and create lasting change.
In the beginning, many people attend weekly sessions to build momentum and consistency. As progress is made, sessions may become less frequent. Throughout the process, we will regularly check in about your goals and adjust the pace of therapy to best support you.
Ultimately, you are always in control of how long you stay in therapy, and we will work together to find the right length and structure for you.

You can get started by booking a free 15-minute consultation call. This gives us a chance to briefly connect, discuss what you’re looking for, and see if we feel like a good fit to work together.
If it feels like a match, we can then talk about scheduling your first session and review current availability. I’ll guide you through the next steps and make the process simple and straightforward.

I kindly ask for at least 24 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment. This allows me to offer that time to another client.
Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice, as well as missed or no-show appointments, will be charged the full session fee.

Yes, therapy is confidential. Everything you share in session is kept private and protected, creating a safe space for you to speak openly and honestly.
There are a few legal exceptions to confidentiality required by law. These include situations where there is a risk of serious harm to yourself or others, suspected abuse or neglect of a child, elder, or dependent adult, or if records are requested by a court order. If any of these situations arise, I will do my best to discuss it with you whenever possible.
Your privacy is very important, and maintaining a secure and respectful therapeutic environment is a top priority.
